Choose your Realtor

Friends don't let friends choose a bad realtor.
You know, I don’t just mean “bad,” but how about under-qualified or “in over their head”? You might have to help your friends with this. :) People sometimes choose a realtor based on a random post card or maybe because they have an acquaintance that just got into the  business part-time. In my 12 years I have seen lots of people come into Real Estate and then quickly get out. What I know after these twelve years is that it ain’t as easy as it looks!

A good realtor might make it look easy. We can be calm, confident, just like a duck paddling across the pond. On top it looks like all is good, just gliding along … but, under the water: the little duck feet are moving as rapidly as little duck feet can go!!
Our DFW market is hot, but it is not easy.
Some people are drawn to get into Real Estate when the market is hot, as houses are selling fast and properties move along. Once you get in, when you can see “under the water,” that’s when you see all the moving parts that must come together to make the business work. To do the business right and take care of people, that takes work.
I think experience and knowledge in our market are skills that really count. It takes a seasoned realtor that knows the business and is not trying to learn on the fly.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still learning after twelve years but I have knowledge to draw from. I have that experience of writing hundreds of contracts, amending contracts throughout the process, attending hundreds of closings, handling disputes with appraisers, and talking with underwriters.
Also! I just recently completed my Broker’s Tests!
So, this summer let me help your friends and family make the biggest purchase their family will ever make. I have the knowledge, I work hard, and I care!
