DFW Affordable Houses

The housing market in North Texas has dramatically changed in the last three years.
In 2014 I helped a dear family buy a home in Lewisville for $197,000 and the seller paid $4000 towards the buyers closing cost, so the net to seller before other cost was $193,000. Today I did an open house in this same home and we have it listed at $289000. The original owner stopped by just to look at what the new owners did and to reminiese. It was surprising,  “I sold this three years ago and now its worth close to $100,000 more?”
        The answer is yes!!
My awesome clients––the ones that bought this house with me three years ago––are selling this house for close to $100,000 more today. Within the last three years, prices on a house like this have gone up that much.
So, buyers are wondering: where are affordable houses??
